A public-sector buyer needs more than an impressive demonstration. The assessment must fit the organization’s authority, procurement and operating boundaries, and leave evidence that the receiving team can use after the supplier’s session ends.
Translate policy into an assessment brief
List the application, responsible authority, approved environment, data classes and permitted testing actions. Record who can authorize access and who can stop the work. Avoid assuming that all public-sector systems have identical sovereignty requirements. The brief should identify the specific processing and access restrictions that apply to this workload, including any partner or subcontractor responsibilities. Keep unresolved policy questions visible before target details are shared.
Ask for an operating design
Request diagrams for the testing runner, model inference, evidence store, report generation, updates and support. Identify administrative access and remote dependencies.
Customer-controlled deployment may be appropriate, but the proposal should explain how it will be maintained and supported. An on-premise installation that relies on an unapproved external service has not satisfied an offline requirement. Verify the accepted design using harmless representative data.
A public-sector delivery record
| Decision | Evidence to request |
|---|---|
| Authority | Named organizational approval and stop process |
| Architecture | Inference, evidence, support and update boundaries |
| Delivery | Supplier, partner and customer responsibilities |
Give the delivery partner a clear role
An established system integrator may own environment preparation, stakeholder coordination and remediation delivery. Define how FailSafe’s testing evidence enters that service. Keep responsibility for authorization, technical acceptance and incident escalation explicit. A partner logo or a general market relationship does not establish responsibility for a particular engagement. Put the actual delivery roles and commercial commitments into the proposal and statement of work.
Make acceptance a usable handoff
Ask an engineer to review the report, reproduce the controlled finding and confirm the retest record. Ask the program owner to review scope, exclusions and unresolved risks. Keep technical evidence and executive decisions connected without exposing sensitive details broadly. A successful assessment is one the organization can operate and explain, not merely a tool that completed a demonstration within the procurement meeting.
A partner-led FailSafe assessment
FailSafe can support a partner-led application or AI-system assessment with a deployment design matched to approved boundaries. Start with the public-sector workload and evidence requirement, then evaluate the proposed model and workflow on that basis.
Start with FailSafe deployment options, SWARM and the GlassBreak cyber model. For a side-by-side assessment, plan a matched evaluation. Custom enterprise deployment is scoped separately from the first-pentest offer.
